A few hints: They are actually a Italian Heavy prog band that changed the bands name after their debut album.
They also hired the drummer of an even better known Prog band (and the lovely Lady) afterwards.

Yes Hale (or Hayle) wrote Toyahs greatest hit (it's a Mystery) played for Hawkwind (and sang on Dangerous Vision) and also on Comus second album.
His brother played in a progband and also with this group, that also had another member of the progband.
