Thread: North Sea Radio Orchestra

I saw Craig and Sharron a couple of weeks ago. Craig has pretty much finished a second Arch Garrison album which is his beautiful folk-y solo stuff. They have a wonderful baby boy, Sam, who is understandably taking up a great deal of time and Sharron is now running the newly (or just about to be) opened Cardiacs shop.
As far as I know NSRO will be doing more stuff. I think it's just a temporary hiatus.

They have a new one out this week, something that seemed to completely pass me by.

    New video

Craig seems to be morphing into Jeremy Corbyn

    Lovely band/people.

The new album is absolutely beautiful. Too soon to say if it's their best but at the moment it feels like it. It's certainly as good as I A Moon.

The s/t might be my favourite of theirs (Chimes is incredible), but all three get a lot of play round my gaff.

Where's Dug? Has she left or something?

  6. #31
She's not on the new record. She became a mum recently which might be why.

Hang on, there's another new video!

I a Moon is definitely their best on paper, although I'm still a sucker for their debut - the pairing of Kingstanding and Chimes in sequence alone puts it "up there".

Ordering this album will be one of the first things on my priority list when I get home from vacation (right after pre-ordering the sea nymphies +a bunch of sea nymph tshirts)

Go to www.cardiacs.com .... Mr & Mrs Smith & Mr Drake is available and cheap and the first Sea Nymphs is re-released in November on CD and vinyl.

Dronne arrived today and I'm listening to it for the first time as I type. Beautiful stuff - I think I'm really going to like this one.

Alright, bit the bullet and bought this from the label. Came out to like $16. Not bad for shipping from the UK!
