I've just come across an intriguing newsbit about a "reformation" of the 1985 Duran Duran/Robert Palmer/Chic 'supergroup' The Power Station.
What is intriguing is that it supposedly has one Tony Banks on keyboards, and several sources (including Wikipedia) jumped to the conclusion that it was THE Tony Banks.
I frankly don't see why Tony Banks would have anything to do with it.
There is one funny aspect to this, though. One of the singers on Banks' "Still" album was one Andy Taylor, but that was NOT the Duran Duran guitarist (and backing vocalist).
Now we have the DD Andy Taylor reforming Power Station (since both Robert Palmer and Tony Thompson are dead and John Taylor is busy with Duran Duran, this is with no other original member, and with Michael Des Barres on vocals, who'd toured with them in 1985) with a Tony Banks that is NOT the Genesis keyboardist.
Or... ?
