Me too! And a thread like this makes me particularly nostalgic for those days. I accept genre categorization as a necessary evil when discussing music, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. In the '70s when I was discovering all of this exciting new creative music, I never thought about what it should or shouldn't be called; never even gave a thought to prog and fusion belonging in separate categories.

Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
