OK, I'm too old. I already said that earlier.
I'm an open book... I prefer a nice theater with less bands, and more all around accommodations. If you're going to do it, do it right. And cater to the right audience.

Love you, too- OLD MAN!!! ;-)

RIO had bands coming on at Midnight on Friday & Saturday night, by the time the beers were done I was keeling over at 3am. Given the time difference to France (+6hrs) it was kind of like being on the East Coast.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Well, I believe that they don't start until 1, or 2, so there's that. I prefer late, to early. Not to everyones taste, I know, and I realize that this is not a standard prog festival set-up, but full marks to the organizer(s) for scheduling it, and making it happen, and getting so many bands booked.
I'm sure it'll make for some lively and interesting post-festival reviews!

Dream Theatre at 11:45pm? Great! I'll be heading home around 11:30pm! In bed before midnight!

Who's all coming in from out of town that weekend? I will have to work some OT that week/weekend but would like to take some time to hang with friends from out of town, perhaps even take a day off if possible.

My girlfriend and I, will be there. It would be great to see you, as always, DS.

Looking forward to it Neil!!! As always, I'll try to make as much time as possible for friends. I would have had a party at my house on Friday night but that's my grandson's football game. I'll get to work as early as possible on Saturday and head on down right after work. What days are you in town?

Arriving Friday night, leaving Monday morning.

Dale and Kurt,
I would love to go and have even taken some time off, but I've spent a ton of money this year so I think it will most likely be a no-go at this point coming from Norther Va.. :-( Who knows? I also have to spend a good chunk of change to pay for the wife and daughter to visit family on the West Coast. Man, I really want to make it out to Chicago again!
Dale, I look forward to at least seeing you again in May at Rosfest! :-)
Looks like it will be difficult, given everyone's schedule, to hook up beyond seeing you all at the shows. So be it. Work sure timed things poorly for me, as I was hoping to take Friday and Monday off but that looks difficult at best. Oh well! And yes, odds are very strong that you will see me at Rosfest. Dying to see Sonus Umbra (and trusting that insane keyboardist Brian Harris will be with them). However, the complication of taking care of my 16 year old grandson (who I took to his first rock concert 2 weeks ago- King Crismson!) makes it a little difficult. Still, it would rob my soul not to be there.
Looking forward to seeing familiar faces at Reggie's next week!

Fuuuuuuuuuuuudge!!!! An already complex weekend just got even MORE complicated!!! Have to work OT on Saturday morning; on top of it, it's my grandson's 17th birthday. Was tempted to buy him a ticket for his bday but his grandparents from Florida called up and said they are coming on for his final football game of the season and spending the weekend! AIYEEEE!!! i may not even end up going Saturday to the show....

The schedule has been changed around. Richard Sinclair is out, and there have been other alterations. Reggie's web site now has the updated schedule posted.

Sigh. So, with Sinclair out, they decide to start the show an hour later, rather than end it an hour earlier. I guess they sell more drinks that way.
There's just no way for me with other commitments that weekend, and trying to stay up all night.
As a consolation, I just hipped a guy at work to the festival who I just learned is a HUGE Crimson fan. He bought tickets for Sunday.
There are going to be some tough choices to make…..
Yes there are. And should you bounce between clubs and try to catch parts of everything, or is it better to stake out a place in one club, and have a better seat/vantage point for bands that you really want to see?
neil
Well, no Sinclair kinda deflates the whole thing for me. Sigh. But why in the hell would Reggies pit two Chicago bands - D97 and Sonus Umbra - against each other? Ridiculous I say.
