Glenn Phillips: Lost at sea will be re-released as double vinyl re-release, which will include an entire album of unreleased material.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary re-release of Glenn’s first album, Lost at Sea by reuniting the band that
recorded it and playing the entire album live for the first time. This is the album that led famed UK entrepreneur Richard Branson to fly to Atlanta in 1975 and sign Phillips as the first American artist to Virgin Records. Phillips will also be performing rarely played songs from his 2nd Virgin album, Swim in the Wind.

I gave this one it's own thread. Maybe it will get more exposure here. It's a fantastic record!

In the Head of a Maniac - AudioPlastik

A big thumbs up from me for this new on. Chugga chugga prog-metal lite with really strong vocal melodies of the top. OK track 3 is a bit of a test but the rest is really strong. Link to a track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZDJFhnaWKg

In addition to the album, take a listen to this track from an earlier incarnation of the band which is very representative of the style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rks09aMma-g

    Nice.

Some info about the band's founders.

Marc Perricelli. A member of BMI and has received Gold and Platinum record awards for his achievements in the area of songwriting. Many years in marketing and sales for the Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Record Group. Prior to Navigator, Marc was the manager and keyboardist for prog-band Pleiades.

Rob Thurman. One of the more sought after drum instructors in the NY area. He has been on the road with one of the finest US Genesis tribute groups, Seconds Out.

Michael Soro. His previous bands have been Expresso, Clear, Three Faces. Michael has performed mostly 'obscure' music for more than thirty years.

As it looks there will be a new solo Album by Matthew Parmenter shortly, as Terry Brown claimes to have mixed it.
(was really hoping for a new Discipline Album though)

It's not due out until October but I was sent a zip file and it is killer.
Just picked up the album from Antoine's guitarist Jerry De Villiers Jr, called "The Turning Point - Archives" with studio- and live-recordings from 1995 and 1994.

That Brainticket suffers from too much spoken word. The second track from last just goes on and on about some Egyptian mythology. But, to be fair, they do give you a full 79 minutes worth.

    ..............

Not exactly brand new - released over a year back - but I'm curious if anyone heard the FUSION ORCHESTRA comeback.
("Skelton In Armour" was such a damn fine lp.)

^ I'm not sure I even want to hear what Vandroogenbroeck and Brainticket are about now, 40 years after their awesome first three records.

After receiving and imbibing "The Sunstone" by The Psychedelic Ensemble innumerable times I must very strongly urge everyone to give this Masterpiece a listen. It's absolutely a killer album start to finish and I am quite certain most discriminating listeners will readily agree. Amazing work of Art.
