    Khruangbin

Had recently listened a lot to Texican Trio 'Khruangbin'...sounds familiar and fresh at the same time...laid back 70s grooves with some hushed vocals, Minor Disco pop-ups and some eastern melodies...I also like their stage disguises...Kind of meme music...stuff you already heard but can't really fix it ...ear Candy
Their new record might be my favorite...

Khruangbin won me over with their appearance on Austin City Limits. I'd never heard them and only tuned in based on the description ("instrumental"). They opened with "People Everywhere" and that's all it took.

The new one's great, exactly what you want and expect from them.

That, and Live at Lincoln Hall is a must.

I like this band. Can't recall how I first heard of them, but when I saw their name come up on Austin City Limits, I was ready to watch. Hadn't seen the NPR video. Thanks for posting it.

Yeah, I like them a lot, very Austin sounding, altho they're from the Houston area. There sound doesn't change much, but I wouldn't expect it to.

Binchlistening to Khruangbin...the Pitchfork Show is great with the Psy Light Show, that fits their music perfectly...the Interview on Dutch TV is interesting...the funky Hardbop drumming goes so good with the Carol Kaye style bass Sound and the Spaced out Hank Marvin Strato Whammy Sound...You can feel the good "Barn" vibes ...they will be on Tour in Europe this Fall...looking forward to see them live
