Arthur Jeffes is really doing an outstanding job carrying on what his father started, IMO.

I rather like this new one. Hoping they follow through on their talk of a North American tour in the near future

Penguin Cafe Orchestra is some really nice music that could fit the 'acoustic prog' thread.
Signs Of Life is pretty nice, or Concert Program a two disk live set.
The new Penguin Cafe is a logical progression.

Yeah, all five of the original Orchestra albums have lovely, quirky little inventive worlds. I sometimes use Perpetuum Mobile from Signs of Life as a finger exercise on the piano. The second Penguin Cafe isn't quite as quirky but definitely has charm. I am particularly fond of The Imperfect Sea and Rain Before Seven is really hitting the right spots as well.

For those who like a bit of "prog trivia," Geoffrey Richardson of Caravan is on all but their first PCO album and co-wrote a few tunes on Broadcasting from Home.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Very good stuff here, Dave. I have never heard anything by them until now, but this sounds quite intriguing. Thanks for posting.

Echoes August CD of the Month: Penguin Cafe's "Raining Before Seven. The brilliant and quirky music of the Late-Simon Jeffes' original Penguin Cafe Orchestra is being continued by his son, Arthur as Penguin Cafe . "Rain Before Seven" is all new music that swings on a spectrum of the serene, moving, and whimsical. Hear it tonight, 8/31 as Echoes CD of the Month. Read the review now. https://wp.me/p4ZE0X-oju
