    2010-2013 Albums by newer artists

What are some of yer fave prog albums from 2010 till now? The only catch is that they have to be bands/solo artists who never released anything before 2010. I can think of a few right now but I figure some responses will remind me of others I forgot.

Some very good ones. I have to rule out La Desooorden, El Andarin is their 5th Album and the first is from 2001 (but really great)

I really liked that Nerve Institute album. One of my recent faves is the debut album from Labirinto di Specchi called Hanblecheya. A great mix of classic Italian prog with more recent prog metal and post-rock influences.

Yup, I was mistaken. It was the first one of theirs that I heard, although I knew of the earlier ones afterwards. I'll replace that one with the debut by Jap threepiece Sajjanu (on Tzadik back in 2010, I think). Come to think of it, that Calomito s/t may have been from 2009.

My favorites of those I believe fit the criteria (I may be unaware of a pre-2010 release by some of these):

    Tohpati Ethnomission
    Watson, Dean
    Arenal
    Camembert
    Govea
    Herd of Instinct
    Luz De Riada
    Nerve Institute
    Sanguine Hum
    Scherzoo
    Stella Lee Jones
    Klaine Trio
    Ontalva, Angel
    Ampledeed
    Grand General
    Not a Good Sign
    Rhun
    Unit Wail
    Volto
    Zletovsko
Yuka & Chronoship (particularly for their most recent album)
    Trioxyde

Also good, but I don't like them quite as much as the ones above:

    Inner Ear Brigade
    Moogg
    Homunculus Res
I Know You Well Miss Clara
    Ingranaggi della Valle
    Oxhuitza
    Progenesi
    Distinguished Panel of Experts
    Ciccada
    Musica Ficta
    Oxtet, The

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Lots of nice suggestions, here are some that may qualify:
    Impact Fuze - Moscow
    Marbin
    Druckfarbin
    Ptf - Percept from...
    Toehider
Ciccada A Child In The Mirror
    District 97
    Haken Aquarius

These are all good, but the Ciccada was from '09 (I Believe) and the Musica Ficta already 8-9 years old on release. Sanguine Hum deserve a special mention (both albums are great), although of course they DID exist as Antique Seeking Nuns before that. Just about everything Soleil Zeuhl and AltrOck/Fading and Cunei and Rune G. issues is solid stuff. IMO, quite obviously. I've only heard bits and pieces off the Ampledeed, but I'll be catching it in my next order. I like the District 97, but I've yet tp hear the follow-up which, if I understand it correctly is somewhat more eclectic and adventurous. The Mars Hollow releases weren't exactly my type of thing, but fine nonetheless. And wasn't the Aquaserge with the Jules Verne-style cover on it from 2010? That one is fabulous, although I think they made a CD-R before it.

Aquaserge's first album, Un & Deux, was 2009 (it has the Jules Verne cover). The 2010 album is their second and also has a Jules Verne cover but with a big monster eye on it. Ciccada is 2010 I think.

Ciccada is listed as 2010 on the album and on Gnosis.

I know the Musica Ficta was recorded before 2010, but that is when it was released, so it counts.

I'm not sure why I didn't list D97, must have just missed them. I like their first album, but I think I was the one who told you before to check out the new one. I think it is substantially more interesting than the debut and would be more up your alley.

This was 2009, I had to miss Mirthkon off my list for the same reason.
