The Aisle of Plenty Prog Rock Radio Program

    Hello everyone,

Just thought I would plug my radio show. I currently am in my 5th year of production on "The Aisle of Plenty" Progressive Rock radio show. The show currently airs in Cincinnati, Ohio. The show covers 40 years of progressive rock and I play everything from the mainstays like Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, as well as the newer music from Marillion and Glass Hammer...just to give you an idea. My show airs on ClassX Radio which can be heard in Cincinnati at 88.9 FM/ 89.1 FM/ 89.3 FM. You can also listen to the show online through the ClassXRadio website (www.classxradio.com), as well as Tune In and RadioBee Apps. My LIVE show airs early in the morning on Saturdays 6AM-8AM Eastern. But never fear, I also have Encore Broadcasts that air on DeliciousAgony.com on Fridays 4PM-6PM Eastern AND on CrossStreetRadio.com, Saturday Nights from 8PM-10PM.

Fridays- DeliciousAgony.com (4PM-6PM Eastern), Encore Broadcast
Saturdays- ClassXRadio.com (6AM-8AM Eastern), LIVE Show
Saturdays- CrossStreetRadio.com (8PM-10PM Eastern), Encore Broadcast

I have aired well over 200 shows and I have played everything from Zappa to Jean Luc Ponty. If you are looking for a well established Prog Rock radio show, why not take a listen to my show. You can also check out playlists from my show on my Facebook page ( Aisle Plenty ).

I hope that you will take the time to join in and listen. My upcoming show for November 30, 2013 will be Show #212.

Just to give you an idea: This was my playlist from my show on November 23, 2013

Jubal, the thought has been there to do a podcast- but I have not gone that direction... yet. As you may know there are quite a number of podcast type websites out there and it really boils down to what would make the best sense in terms of broadcasting quality, etc.

If anyone reading has some thought on any sites that would be a good suggestion- I would be open to ideas for good podcasting websites.

I also should mention that with my show- I have no playlist when I go into the studio on Saturday Mornings. I will say that I have a general idea of *a few* of the bands that I am going to play, but as for specific songs- I choose these on the fly while I am in the studio and doing the show. That's what makes for great live radio. ;-)

This is how I have done the show for the past 5 years, and I am not stopping anytime soon!

Sounds like a good show! I've used that 'format' often on mine especially when I was able to do it live in the studio. I live far away from it now but because I had been doing it for 20 years, they let me record it and send it in. I really miss doing it live though... good luck with it and kudos on your 5 year milestone.
