Samurai (Dave Lawson) band. Cd edition question

    Dear All,
There is a cd edition of this album made by Landren Productions (LRCD 9612) on 1996. Is it legit?
    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

I don't think it is legit but I could be wrong.
It's had four cd re-issues that I can see from labels Akarma, Esoteric, Progressive Line and AMR Archive beginning in 2001 and ending in 2008. I've never heard of Landren Productions but that doesn't mean much.

It's a good question... I think it is. I own this version as well (along with a couple of other represses). As far as I know, it's the only one with the 4 live tracks, that are quite good. My recollection, though it's not stated on the CD, is this was related to Renaissance Records (Gracious, Touch...). But I could be crossing a wire there.

Jim Hresko is mentioned in the credits - so maybe he can shed some light?

How is the sound quality on the Esoteric version vs the other ones?
