Guy is selling our ‘I Cries Crimes’ on his bandcamp page. I asked him about it and he said he didn’t get paid for appearing so he should be able to sell. Whatever. He did get the song title wrong though, haha!

While giving the new Present album its first spins (got it yesterdays), I also spun Lueur afterwards (hadn't for a few months now).

Yes, it seems a bit more of the DD solo album (thinking of Sirius and Eaux Troubles) than a "group" effort like PD or Clivages.

For those that heard the remix of CDD...how does it differ from the CD version?

And a new live album...goddamn that is excellent. That one is making my wallet itchy already!
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

It’s the least different of the three remixes

    Less bass

Slightly more clearly defined rest of band (most notably keyboards, Michel and violin)

A few previously submerged things being audible

I bought the digital on Bandcamp and I think it sounds great. I listen to it over the original version.

However, there are a couple of tracks that they didn't have the original tapes for so they are not remixed but just remastered I think.

I'll have to check it out on Bandcamp. I didn't know about a remix

The four tracks done at Sunrise were the only ones that they had the multi-tracks for.

    So, IIRC, remixed are:

    Dense
La corne du bois des pendus
    Bonjour chez vous
    Combat

Oh nice. Didn't realize the remix was on bandcamp. I shall give a listen.

    Thanks.

Having listened to the remix on bandcamp...

It is definitely differernt enough in the mixing/balance department for my cloth ears to notice. The drums in particular seem to be well boosted and the whole thing is a bit out of balance during the more clamorous sections. Perhaps I'm just used to the older one, of course.

Its also strange to hear it without Triomphe Des Mouches at the end. (which I know is a bonus track but feels ingrained in the album after so long)

A few years ago I did a listening session at a hi end hifi shop
We compared the original recommended lp, the Cuneiform Cd and the remix download flac files.
I was quite shocked how superior the lp sounded to my ears
Yehuda Kotton was there with me - we just looked at each other in disbelief

Having said that I do love the remix of the debut but never did a direct comparison
In any case I do not own the original pressing which Eric Faes released- I have the 1313 l bought when it came out in the mid 80’s
