"Making it up as you go along" by Bill MacCormick

Has anyone read "Making it up as you go Along: A Short Social and Political History of Rock 'n' Roll in South London 1966 -1980" by Bill MacCormick, released last month? See https://amzn.to/4aH6BHX Looks interesting.

Haven't read it and didn't know about it till just now. The description on the Amazon page is inviting. I hadn't known that (music journalist, not KC windman) Ian MacDonald's real name was MacCormick and that he was Bill's brother. Sounds like it's definitely worth checking out.

The Amazon summation mentions writing about obits for Dave MacRae among others, but Dave MacRae is apparently still alive at least as far as anything I can find in Google or Wikipedia. ?

It says "It contains pen portraits and, sadly for some, the obituaries of several musicians Bill met along the way." Not a great way to phrase it but I think that means some, but not all of the musicians listed after that have died. (Checking the list again I find MacRae is the only one mentioned in that sentence who is still alive.)

Looks interesting indeed, although I must say that the word "short" in the title is misleading: the book is 486 pages long1
