I think it's weird how a lot of people are somehow "offended" by a musician (that they have no personal connection to) being a bit silly and having fun.
    This.

Weird. Robert said he made that video special for me and wasn't gonna post it publicly.

    That bitch!

You do remember that you're on PE right? Pretty sure it's in the TOS that we're required to get worked up about weird stuff.

I would guess that he did this more to give a laugh to all the people he's known and worked with pretty closely over the decades (and I guess any family). I mean, he probably lived with some of his early bandmates and got up to all kinds of tomfoolery, and it being in England and in the time of Monty Python and such, that probably involved a bit of goofing around naked (John Cleese sitting at the piano, naked, wearing a powdered wig). And he has to be aware that most all of them who are still alive are going to see the video. It's silly, and not terribly funny to me, and a little disturbing, but not at all offensive, and I certainly don't judge him or really care. It's a little surprising to me that some are bothered by it, but I guess I can think of musicians I admire where if it had been one of them, I'd feel differently.

    Maybe it's AI!

It'd be funnier if he still had his '70s Britfro.

I just realized - he might be reading this! Heh!

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

It made me laugh out loud.

Do not understand the sour reactions. But then again, I like artists who do not take themselves to seriously.

I think he's (repeatedly) making an ass out of himself with these videos. To each their own.

I don’t think he cares about people who think that.

He doesn't have to do anything. It's pretty obvious that RF is right up there with Tony Banks in the stubbornness department. It's just a lark.

Not sure what was in the first post, but the YouTube link in post #4 still works and it appears to be from his official YouTube channel.

Some people need to lighten up.

I'm guessing it's the very same folks who are still pissed at Steven Wilson for criticizing closed-minded prog fans.

I am reminded of a story from about 15 years ago when Fripp was touring with Toyah and The Humans. Apparently Toyah would start flirting with one of the younger members of the band, to the point where the young gentleman began to be worried that she was serious. And at that point Fripp would turn up, stone-faced, and say "I heard you've been messing around my woman" or words to that effect. Those two are trolls, and Fripp has been a troll since the days of Rodney Toady and mooning Greg Lake during "Cat Food".
You have not heard anything like Vostok Lake, nor do you know anyone who has.

Yes. We figured this out back in the elephant talk days.

Funny. I'm just waiting for a limited release Robert Fripp "inaction figure" that captures his legendary stage antics in painted pink plastic.
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
