Pink Floyd CD returned to library 35 years late

They got the album wrong in the article, but it was a CD copy of Wish You Were Here. Just a quirky story and news clip for y’all.

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
35 years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
    You missed the starting gun

Who the hell is Eddie Rabbit??vthink.gif

And furthermore, who would take the trouble to borrow it from a library? vsiffle.gif

Unless to make a dog frisbie or clay pigeon shooting target...

I guess the dog had some kind of good taste or its owner is really not handy with guns (not that's a bad thing, though)

I'm guessing either somebody was moving and clearing out stuff, or someone passed away and they noticed it was from the library. Nice to see they made the effort to return it to the right place.

I remember good LPs my local library had in the 80's would disappear sometimes (someone never returned them). It happened with their copy of The Inner Mounting Flame for one example.

His big hit was "I love a rainy night." I don't know anything else by him but along with Alabama he was one of the big country crossover artists of the time. Juice Newton was another one.

Eddie Rabbitt wrote some songs Elvis Presley recorded a decade or so earlier too.
