Thanks
And the code is a play, a play is a song, a song is a film, a film is a dance...
Very interesting interview about interview, thanks for posting it.
Sorry to hear that "In A Glass House" could never benefit from S.W's excellent work since they lost the original multitrack tapes.
Hopefully he'll do the next one, "Missing Piece". I know It's not among GG's best or most liked records, being only halfway good. But "halfway good" for GG is still a good record.
And M.P being the most "thin" and "crappy" sounding GG's catalog record would greatly benefit from a remastering. Maybe S.W could do something to improve it...
I've read that Steven Wilson is doing GG's The Missing Piece next (and he says it will be a Big Improvement over the original mix). And there's a been 5.1 remix mix of their First Album (however it's only available on their Unburied Treasure box set from a few years back).
A friend of mine 'remastered' Missing Piece (just the CD source) and added more bottom to the mix. That helped a lot, but there is room for improvement.
Missing Piece has already been done by SW. Same time as Interview. Just waiting for the right time to release.
In A Glass House is exactly 50 years old today! The album is not one of my biggest favourites by Gentle Giant, but it certainly contains some very enjoyable music. I wrote a review of the album: https://pienemmatpurot.com/review-ge...ss-house-1973/
