^ Yeah but just the other day I was still young. Wha’ happened?

Three dates in NC and nothing any further south. Oh well.

Whatever I type here will be insufficient.

Seeing these musicians in such an intimate setting with only about twenty other people was transcendent.

I hope everyone at Prog Day enjoys the band.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Is the available YT video in the last couple of weeks indicative of their setlist?
Basically the same Crim pieces that Stick Men play.
Great, but I think I'd find it more interesting to hear more along the lines of T1-Contact Information, ZWAR and MÜÜT.
They aren't coming near here, so I hope something from the tour will be released when it's over.

But hearing the Gunn/Mastelotto rhythm section tackle those things again after so much time was definitely worthwhile. Yet the Crim pieces ("ConstruKction," "Larks' IV," "Level Five"--Gunn refuses to refer to the last piece as "Larks' V") were not the highlight of the show.

Great, but I think I'd find it more interesting to hear more along the lines of T1-Contact Information, ZWAR and MÜÜT.
"Kuma" from Gunn's Third Star and "Absinthe" from the TU album (I think that's what it was) were suitably impressive. All three members had a chance to show off and stretch their legs.

Their versions of Kuma and Unconditional (a Markus composition) were both stunning.

It was great to hear the KC stuff played but they weren't the highlights of the show for me.

Saw them in Buffalo also and really enjoyed the show. Kuma was a very cool surprise to hear, as was Absinthe. A very minor quibble would be the Crim tunes. They sounded fantastic, but Ive heard those a million times and really wanted to hear more from the disc. Again, very minor observation and I most certainly will see them again if the opportunity presents.

For the record, i've seen Crimson, Stickmen, Belew solo, Levin solo, and others and i was very thrilled to hear the Crimson nuggets as performed by tu-NER last Saturday.

When I saw them in upstate NY, the highlight for me was them doing Firepower (Fripp/Sylvian). It was (for me) totally unexpected, and the only time I have every heard any of that material performed live.
    But...the entire set was fantastic.

This isn't specifically about tu-NER, but this was the only ProgDay 2023-related thread I could find after a bit of digging.

If anyone's interested, I wrote up my annual "scrapbook" page (with photos and set lists) for ProgDay 2023:

Thanks for posting that Ground and Sky's Ghost. A most enjoyable read, and cool to see the setlists. I'll have to see if they're up on setlist.fm.

Nice review, pretty much agree with all your assessments. Had a great time, not sure we chatted at all during the weekend but we probably smiled and nodded.

Very nice! agree on most of your comments, especially the vocals. I could have done without them.

Mine should be sitting on my front steps when I get home, unless the porch pirates got their hands on it.
If they still had the ability to play a CD, they might even bring it back once they gave it a listen.

Speaking of ProgDay. Any news about this years fest (hopefully)! If so, getting close to the first band announcements!
