The song is okay. I like the flute and guitar parts. The vocals are pretty weak, though (nothing new there).

This is likely to be their best album since the classic Smörgåsbord and the Beast

    Lol, some hilarious comments.

Quite like the new tune. Nice opening with a bit of a jangly jazzy keyboard thing going on.

I didn't particulary dislike or like the Zealot Gene. A 'decent' album.

I will certainly pick up RökFlöte. Gotta keep the collection complete, eh?

Hoorah for the lack of shirtless septuagenarian photo on front cover.

Pretty decent. I like it. Great guitar arrangement. Very wordy, as per usual; melodically still mining that TAAB2/Homo Erraticus vein.

That album cover is brilliantly simple - I really like it.
12 "tracks" - I wonder if there are a number of instrumentals amongst them!
The album title hints at the flute being showcased and the setlist of the last tour had Ian playing a lot more flute-based instrumentals and arrangements (which must have lessened the strain on those 75 year old vocal chords).
I liked the last album and am looking forward to this one too.

Decent first track. I am intrigued

Hmm, flute melody/mood in the vein of "Pebbles Instrumental | A Change of Horses" from Thick As A Brick 2 album (2012). Not the first time that Ian repeats the same ideas. Check out the similarities(self-plagiarism) between "Power and Spirit" from "Thick As A Brick 2", "In For a Pound" from "Homo Herraticus" and "Barren Beth, Wild Desert John" from "The Zealot Gene".

I have barely given cursory listens to JT beyond 'Minstrels...', but this new track makes me think I should change that.
