I agree. Iron Path seems to have much more shades than other Last Exit albums.

I wrote what I wrote, THEN pulled it out and played it, and enjoyed it. So, thanks!

Great album. I got it when it came out, didn’t grok it, sold it, regretted it, bought it again 10 years later, loved it.

That raises the question how the heck do you navigate this stuff? I'd much rather buy a legit copy than the alternative. Am I safe assume the Amazon digital copy is legit? I guess not.

I don't know who signed what, but I do know:

    1. The one on the left is from Ronald Shannon Jackson, who was a great drummer and also a thief; he was fired from Wadada's band for selling a video performance to a French video label without clearing it with Wadada. (yes, really)

    2. The one on the right is uploaded by Bill Laswell's company, which, since he was the producer, is more likely to be legit.

Not mentioned yet (or did I missed it ?), newcomers on the A-P scene (2022): OGIVES (from Belgium).
Their latest work (on Sub Rosa, mixed by Steve Albini) "La Mémoire Des Orages" is really excellent and one of my favorite 2022 records.
    Try it:

I finally pulled the trigger and bought this album (including shipping and paying double VAT made it quite expensive), but what an album. Lot to discover the coming weeks!

I haven't heard it, but there's this album from Van Tilburg (a.k.a. Adam Pietrykowski), called Encode. Van Tilburg is a major force behind Calibrating Friction ^^
