    Riverside - New Album ID.Entity Released January 20, 2023

I'm looking looking forward to this one! I knew they were recording, but this seems like quite a quick turnaround to release, especially these days.

A new single, I'm Done With You, is out now as well. It seems like they are going back in a heavier direction:

    Track Listing:
    CD1
    1 Friend or Foe? 7:29
    2 Landmine Blast :50
    3 Big Tech Brother 7:24
    4 Post-Truth 5:37
    5 The Place Where I Belong 13:16
    6 I'm Done With You 5:52
    7 Self-Aware 8:43

CD2 (Bonus CD with some versions)
    1 Age of Anger 11:56
    2 Together Again 6:29
3 Friend or Foe? (Single Edit) 5:59
    4 Self-Aware (Single Edit) 5:29

    Anyone else excited for this?

Exciting indeed: a return to longer songs and a heavier sound.
I've always thought they were at their best when alternating between melodic and heavy sections. Some of the heaviness was missing on the last few albums IMO.
Their albums have always been mostly excellent so we should be in for another great record.
    Not just a Genesis fanboy.

Yeah, great news! New tune sounds great. I'm good with a little more heaviness.

Edit - pre-order is in for blue vinyl. Thanks Ken!

Sounds like a heavier sound like the ADHD album, which is my favorite. Buying now!

Cool. I’m all for a heavier sound. Love, Fear is good, but Wasteland didn’t quite do it for me. Looking forward to the album.

According to Blu-ray track listings on Burning Shed, the first track on the bonus disc (Age of Anger) is 11:56 long rather than 1:56.
I'm guessing this is the result of a typo and the longer time is correct - I would hope so.

However, why isn't there a physical copy of "Story of my Dream" on the bonus disc? There's plenty of room.

The new tune, Self-Aware, sounds like a 90/00s era Rush song. I’m digging the more rock-pop feel.

Wish they were coming closer to me, but Chicago is not out of the question. We'll see as it gets closer.

I had an Amazon prog rock shuffle going today, and would write down songs I heard I liked. One was Riverside's I'm Done With You. Very good, and heavy, as others have said. Will be buying this!

Edit: Just preordered. This had better not be one of those releases where they put the best, heaviest track first, then the rest is all mellow.

I see they're coming to Dallas. Unfortunately they are going to a crap venue which is notorious for overselling (See W.A.S.P. show). I hated it when it was Gas Monkey so I will pass on this one.

Got my CDs today, and am liking it. I only wish the drummer were a little busier. Hooky, heavy songs. Sound is excellent.

Dude's got a great voice. And he's the bass player? Wow.

I'm liking what I'm hearing. In general, I prefer the earlier, more prog-oriented stuff (Out of Myself and Second Life Syndrome), but this one really seems to blend the heavier elements with some prog/prog metal stylings. What a great career they have forged for themselves.

Got my standard cd today, sounds very good on a first listen and I like the lyrical themes. I've been having a Riverside binge lately and it reminds me most of Time Machine.

This vid looks a lot like what Pure Reason Revolution is doing. Are the same people working on these?

I'm happy to have a little more heaviness on this one. The blue vinyl looks great!
