The new album Light Up is probably my fave album of the year. The full release is coming on GEP next month

Direct from the band. I was part of the crowdfunding campaign that helped/allowed them to record & release the album.

I liked Sia quite a lot so I'm looking forward to hearing more of the new album. Any know of a digital source? Cheers all.

I don't think so sadly. Only their older albums that are unavailable on cd are on Bandcamp.

Wonder if they are planning a vinyl release? Or maybe I already missed it.

Thanks. I will keep a look out. Such a great uplifting album. Been listening to it almost non stop as I’m helping family and my mom handle my dad’s passing.

I saw Solstice last weekend at a progfestival. I was more there to hang out with some friends than that I was interested in the bands but I have to say Solstice pleasantly surprised me.

I knew Solstice from the album Silent dance from 1984 which I had on tape as a teen so I was surprised to see that they were still going. They certainly seemed they were enjoying themselves on stage. Sometimes they sound folky, sometimes jazzy, funky or poppy but never too pompous or over the top. The (quite young) female singer has good voice and had an enthusiastic stage presence. The guitarist was great (although he suffered from some technical problems) The new songs actually sounded like the better ones in the set list. Overall a good enjoyable show, much better than any of the other bands playing that night.
