Marbin was the first band that came to mind. Blackfeild is half Israeli too.
Sympozion is fantastic. I only discovered it 2-3 years ago, but what a great release that is. I was greatly impressed by the music and baffled that it flew under the radar for so long.Originally Posted by Digital_Man
On the progressive side I'd add Falafel Avantgarde and Ashqelon Quilt.
OK not really prog but I'd like to mention The Churchills - seminal 60s psych rock, they later morphed into Jericho Jones who I think were then based in the UK for a while and produced some really great rock (more classic than progressive). Also very interesting if you're a 60s collector is Danny Ben Isreal's Bullshit 3¼.
On the jazz-rock side I highly recommend Platina - The Girl With The Flaxen Hair, great album IMO, and Zonzee - Time Flies.
Every After by Sanhedrin is sort-of symphonic influenced by early 70s prog.

Great prog / folk prog with a classical touch, also has a cover for a piece by Shem Tov Levi from Ktzat Acheret which used to be the intro for a favorite children show here in Israel
If you are into prog metal, Scardust is very good.
Apart from the ones named, Cotton Candy by Shlomo Gronich is probably worth a peek. It might not be prog all the way through, but it’s a solid listen, and the opening and closing tracks are definitely of interest (last track reminds me of Gentle Giant!).
Other than that, I can second the recommendations for Atmosphera, Sheshet, Sanhedrin and Zingale!

The other Avishai Cohen, this one plays trumpet. He records for ECM, so not exactly jazz-rock, but has enough complexity and intensity to push many of the same buttons.
Oz Noy - very creative jazz fusion, with more than a bit of funk. Has quite a few recordings, which I haven't heard all, but the ones I've heard are great.
If you don't mind prog-metal, Orphaned Land is quit good. Great use of influences from Israli, Middle Eastern and others.

I was fortunate to discover this when it came out. Far and away my favorite Prog from Israel, and I give it my highest recommendation.

This nice album features some notable guests including Arjen Lucassen and Sergey Kalugin.
Offshot of Zingale? how come? it's 100% a different group that asked Efraim Barak from Zingale just to sing as he had high voice like Jon Anderson.
Other than that zero connection IMHO.
