    We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
    It won't be visible through the air
    And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973

    It's the ghost of Ryan Tannehill telling you to burn another Dolphins hat.

    I'm surprised that no one has mention King Crimson yet:

    Blood rack barbed wire
    Politicians' funeral pyre
    Innocents raped with napalm fire
    Twenty first century schizoid man

    It's been alluded to in post #5

    Or barbed wire
    I think knowing that song and its lyrics is kind of assumed around here.
    τί ἐστιν ὃ μίαν ἔχον φωνὴν τετράπουν καὶ δίπουν καὶ τρίπουν γίνεται;

    εἰσί κασίγνηται δισσαὶ, ὠν ἡ μία τίκτει
    τὴν ἑτέραν αὐτὴ δέ τεκοῦσ` ὑπό τὴσδη τεκνούται
    τίς δὲ κασίγνηται δύο;

    Maybe to those who aren't familiar with his catalog. He's an incredible talent and can play with the best of them.

    Wow!

    I knew he was a great guitarist but never heard him play electric. Mind blown.

    I saw him on TV around 40 years ago doing a solo, acoustic set. He was brilliant. All Flamenco and latin. Great musician.

    WOW! Had no idea!

    My instinct is to cut this one a bit of slack because it's old enough to predate the establishment of the cliche. Probably the least striking line in what's otherwise an all-time great verse, though.
