    Genesis - heathaze with mellotron

One of my fb friends told me about this. Apparently someone added mellotron for the video. I don't think this is some unreleased version and I think Tony might not be happy about it (or maybe he would like it; who knows). If this song was recorded just a few years earlier it probably would have had mellotron on it. Enjoy (or not).

I believe this is the third time this video shows up here. Still, a fine piece of work.

Has anyone done a version of Supper's Ready with extra triangle?

What I like about it is that it's tastefully done and adds a lot to the song. It's not just tron for the sake of tron. And it sounds analog too.

IMO it sounds much better with mellotron. And did Tony Banks use a tron on the recent Genesis tour? I highly doubt it. And I hear that they butchered the old songs like they did in 2007. Thank God for Steve Hackett.

It didn't sound like "butchering" to me. And no I don't think Tony used any mellotron on this past tour.

No butchered at all - They've had a long history and cutting back the length of their classic tracks did not pull away from the quality of the playing. It was inspired and I count myself as lucky to hear this one last time.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
