Just announced, the 13-disc Muffins box, "Baker's Dozen" drops November 18, 2022. It will be twelve CDs of previously unreleased material plus a DVD of their live performance at NEARFest 2005, and what he promises is a "hefty" booklet. Give Steve your money for this labor of love. Runes 500-512

^^^ Welcome back. Haven't seen you for ages
We walked arm in arm with madness, and every little breeze whispered of the secret love we had for our disease

I swore off PE because it had become too much of a timesuck. Too many people needed correcting

Plus, I seem to recall the straw that broke the camel's back was that the administrators didn't take the pandemic seriously. Now, with over a million US deaths (6.5m worldwide) I doubt they're still pooh-poohing it.

As someone who is close to this - very - close - I can definitely say its a must have. The booklet is indeed a nice hefty sucker! The band really did a great job preserving all their work in photographs and recordings.

I think a lot of us contributed, in small ways (I sent some bootlegs to Paul). Dunno if any of mine got included. Doesn't really matter.

The Muffins are LONG overdue for greater recognition.

Nobody’s bootlegs were used, with the exception of one track from ZU and one improv on CD 4

Everything else came from my archives, the band’s archives, or (for the reunion period) never mixed, professional (more or less) multi-tracks.

My mouth only continues to water at the prospect of this release.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Glad to see you back and to find out it was by choice and not something bad that led to your absence. :

and it isn't part of the box (although I had to look it up to verify that)

I didn’t want to ask, but thanks for mentioning it.

Two rare and outstanding live Muffins tracks are available on the ProgDay 2001 2-CD compilation. You can find it on Discogs for under $10! Whet your appetite for this box set by obtaining these tracks today! As an added bonus, if you buy one, it reduces the chances that whoever cleans my place out when I die has to dispose of the remaining copies.

(Seriously, if someone wants a copy of this, PM me.. $5 + ship)

I've left instructions encouraging whomever finally takes me out, to use the boxes of my album to help weigh down the body
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I want vinyl LP's melted all over my dead, naked corpse. And then melted cheese on top of that.
