She passed away in March at 81. Curiously, I'd just been re-acquainting myself with her music, which I'd listened to off and on over several decades. Novus Magnificat and Faces of the Christ are two works that I still regularly listen to at night for inspiration. The lady certainly created haunting and spiritual music.

That's where I was introduced to her music. I will say that when I was heavy into meditation at one point in my life, Demby's music was always good accompaniment.

Haven't listened to her music in a while. Guess I will be tonight.

Rest in Peace Constance...I first heard her music in the 1980's on the program Hearts of Space. Purchased a couple of cds at the time. A sad day for me.

    RIP Constance Demby
Huge fan and a major loss for me. I've been listening to her amazing music for over 40 years.

    Damn. That was wonderful.

I have never heard of her before, and I do apologize if it is uncouth to ask such a question in a RIP thread, but...are there any recordings where she uses the space bass?

RIP to what seems like quite an interesting character.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
