Bon Jovi's lyrics were meant to be sincere - I'm sure they were hoping folks would use that as their wedding song (and I'm sure some did!).

According to what I read on Ultimate Classic Rock, Sambora may be out of Bon Jovi for good. According to Facebook comments, a lot of people speculate that it's due to money.

Oh, I didn't know that. I knew most of the Jon/Richie fighting, but I only found out about the part about Richie being out of the band(maybe forever) yesterday.
Not really. It just came to light yesterday that he's officially out - not just for this tour, he's out.

I don't know the specifics, but Richie was making stupid money, so I'm inclined to think that he wasn't necessarily looking for a raise. Maybe he was asked to take a cut? Who knows? But I doubt that it's just about money.
It wasn't until today that it was reported that Richie was officially out. Up until yesterday it was that he was just off the tour. But what difference does it make? And we both agree that there's more to the story, so...
If I was Richie Sambora then I would be wondering why I've spent the better part of my life being the guitarist in a band that's named after the singer. Maybe that's what he's doing now.
