I blame Wynton, what was the question?

    I like.

Interviewer of reprobate ne'er-do-well musicians of the long-haired rock n' roll persuasion at: www.velvetthunder.co.uk and former scribe at Classic Rock Society. Only vaguely aware of anything other than music.

What a joy to watch and listen. Holland just never fails to invent new stuff and it’s great to see him back with Eubanks. Harland is just lapping everything up - except for some monitor issues at the beginning which seemed to bother Dave too.

Me watching those singing contest shows would have to involve a lost bet or a set of Clockwork Orange eyelid clamps.

Maybe I have asked this before but I am looking for something similar to Bohren & Der Club Of Gore's Sunset Mission. I tried looking up the band on the web and their web presence is baffling and their Bandcamp page was either bogus or hacked. I'm just looking for something in the vein of this record, atmospheric slow-burn jazz that a.) doesn't insult my intelligence and b.) that the missus would consider relaxing and not too wanky.

Great clip of Holland/Eubanks/Harland, thank you so much.
I saw Eubanks with (I think) McBride on bass, and he was killing it, old school fusion. This was a decade or more ago, but Kevin is a bit under the radar. He's got his own thing for sure.

    Also loved the Mingus/Dolphy thing.....

    Keep 'em coming.

Of Human Feelings was the first Ornette I heard....back in High School. In retrospect, pretty sure it's one of my formative musical influences.

At Big Ears Festival in Knoxville TN back in March, 75 Dollar Bill(little big band) covered this Ornette tune and did it great.
