New Abel Ganz CD up for preorder 3/28/2020

Just helping out Abel Ganz by posting this. Covid-19 has fucked with their new album release, but they’re pressing on. I plan to preorder tomorrow.

Before we go any further [this is going to be a rather lengthy post] just want to say we hope you are all well, staying inside, and looking after each other!

As some of you may have noticed, things have been very quiet here on the Ganz page for rather a long time. There’re good reasons for that and we’d like to explain: there’s good news – and bad news!

First the good news. Our new album is finished and now ready for release!

Indeed, it has been ready for some time and we would have announced it earlier but for the situation we all now find ourselves in. So, while we are of course delighted that the new album is at last ready to share with you, we have a problem [the bad news!] - in that we have run out of funds to pay for the manufacturing costs.

Some of you may recall that we were in precisely the same situation before releasing our last, previous, album – and that we ran a very successful PledgeMusic campaign to raise the funds in order to solve the issue. It had been our intention this time around to follow much the same [a kind of Pre-sale / KickStarter / Pledge type thing] idea again – only this time we would run things ourselves from our new, redesigned website.

We were all set to press the big ‘GO’ button a couple of weeks ago but, of course, that’s when things really started to go haywire globally and we chose instead to press pause. Since then we have been struggling with the dilemma over what to do. Should we press ahead – or shelve the whole thing for a couple of months? As you can no doubt appreciate, we have been working incredibly hard on this project [literally for years!] and we are itching to get it out - but we do recognize that we are living through an uncertain period and that, for some, right now might not be an ideal time for us to ask for help with a fundraiser / pre-sale.

As I say – we have been struggling with this a great deal and after much deliberation and soul searching, we have finally made the decision to press ahead! Yippee!!!

However, given there is a question mark at the moment when manufacturers and suppliers will be able to take [and process] any orders from us we have decided to knock back the actual release date [we had been planning an early May release] of the album to June 15th and make this a very, very long pre-sale indeed!

So, our pre-sale will begin at midday on Sat 28th March and run until May 31st. The official release date is June 15th 2020.
