Heard something funny on sports talk radio this morning. They were talking about Baker Mayfield and this season being his make or break season. I'm pretty sure I heard one of the talking heads refer to him as Maker Breakfield.......

At the end of the day the Giants will either be division champs or have a top five draft pick.

The Cards needlessly put themselves in a must win situation today. All season, they've suffered the same affliction as other Phoenix area teams: spanking the good teams, but being spanked by the pitiful teams. It happened to both the D-Backs and Suns when they were competitive teams. Something in our dry desert air makes teams cocky, believing they don't have to show up for the weaker teams. And after losing to those teams, having a matter of fact attitude over the loss.

Only viewing options today have been Cincy/Baltimore, and Dallas/Giants. Three of these offenses are atrocious.

Tua must've been given a talk to in the locker room during the halftime. He's finally throwing it down field. He was killing is with those dink passes. No playoffs for us, disappointing loss, but I still think we had a good season. Tua needs to take his lumps.

It took rush #48 by Baltimore before Cincy tackled a carrier for a loss. Total domination by the Rats today. Very impressive!

I'm a little impressed by Tua's second half performance. He threw down field. He had a couple good drives, but I saw him deliver some great passes that were dropped.

Browns are in, but I'm disappointed with what I saw today. They have zero chance of winning next week unless Chubb gets 35 carries.

The fumble call at the end of the Giants-Cowboys game is the worst I've seen in 50 years of watching the NFL. Down by contact? Dude was standing upright when he dropped it!

...clearly you didn't see the replay with the ball in Gallman's hand on the ground.

    Let's go Philly!!!

I think Washington is going to destroy them though.

You're correct, I did not. However, I did see the scramble on the ground and the ball pop up. I do not know who recovered it. But the ruling was that the runner had possession and was down by contact. The runner was upright and dropped the ball. At that point, he was no longer "the runner." He was one of a bunch of dudes trying to recover a fumble. So, taken as worded, "the runner had possession and was down by contact" had to take place before the ball was fumbled. That is ridiculous.

That a team with 6 wins needed a team with 4 wins to beat a division rival to get into the playoffs?

    Yeah, totally agree.

Hey I don't think any of the NFC East should be in

Did Pederson have money on the game?

Everyone knows whoever got in from NFCE was not going anywhere and I definitely think the best team got in...but both Cowboys and Giants played their hearts out yesterday to win that game. Turns out there was no reason to. Even Eagles players were playing their asses off until Pederson put in the high school QB. Bullshit.

Oh well...this was just keeping me busy until NHL starts next week

The Eagles tanked. I don't think that's debatable. Pederson took out Hurts (who wasn't setting the world on fire, but the game was so damn close), and put in JV QB who hasn't played this century. Sudfeld threw and interception and lost a fumble on 2 sets of downs, but Pederson kept him in. Wertz was in street clothes and Hurts stood on the sidelines. What a joke.
