For me, Permanent Waves is the beginning of the golden age of Rush. I wrote a review of the album: https://pienemmatpurot.com/review-ru...nt-waves-1980/

What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)

Thank you! Some of my views regarding Rush may be controversial but I don't mean no harm.

Another fine review, however I will fight you re: "Jacob's Ladder", as I feel it may be the greatest thing they ever wrote (sorry "Xanadu" freaks!). It's perfection

Nice review, Permanent Waves is certainly one of their best but it's hard to say where their winning streak started and ended, for me maybe their peak period was A Farewell To Kings to Signals but I still love the albums on either side too.

2112 to GUP is my sweet spot but hell, I play the entire catalog, live albums, boots.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

My first real awesome experience with a Rush bootleg - the St. Louis 80 boot. I LOVE mine. Still LOVE it. You guys all know the good stuff. It's ace. Cheers.
