You guys might have listened to a solo piano track I made last month called "Teardrops". Well, a saxophone playing friend in Rome just brought this to the next level. It has now surpassed my original and is incredibly emotive and pretty, so I had to share it here. Enjoy.

It's still a very beautiful piece, just different.
I think the original is still my favorite, perhaps because of the emotion I felt when first listening.

So when you go to the Bandlab home page click on "Explore" then go all the way to the bottom. Under "Features" you will find a link to "Mastering". That's where you can drop a WAV file and their algorithm will master it. It's pretty good and only takes a minute, and is free. Did I tell you it's free? yeah, you can drop files over and over and it's still free. There are 4 different styles to choose from as you listen to the playback - Universal, Fire, Clarity, Tape. Choose whichever sounds best to you, then you can save your track under your own profile (once you register). There doesn't seem to be a limit on how many projects you can create and save to their website. Of course anything you save is downloadable in a few different quality types. You have the option to add project details, like changing the name, the description, etc. and when you are ready you can publish it to the community on Bandlab.
They do have a very basic mix editor, very basic but just enough for collaborating. That's what we use to upload our individual tracks for a song when collaborating, but it's best to download each of those stems to your own DAW for final mixing and mastering before a final product is published to the community.
The community allows you to friend anyone whose published music you like and they can do the same for your music. Whoever you are following pops up in your "Feed" whenever there is a new post. You can leave comments or "like" someone else's posts. There's a chat function too so you can private message people. All in all, I find the community to be friendly and there's quite a lot of good music in many, many styles, like rock, rap, instrumental, blues, etc. Every month they run contests and you can submit a new song for consideration with cash prizes. Browse through the site and find trending music under those style headings, create playlists, etc.

^^ Thank you, Richard! i have a guitar that I've raised the action on to just use for slide. I was kind of going for Joe Walsh, but the other comparisons are very flattering! I've always thought George Harrison was a VERY underrated guitarist. I think his parts are mini songs in themselves.
The Joe Walsh comparison makes a lot of sense to me -- the tone has the same mixture of bite and expressiveness that his does. The solos almost have... like, a conversational quality? Where you're really following the process of a thought in a natural kind of way? I dunno if that makes sense.

Bob, the Teardrops tune with the sax is very beautiful. Great music for a romantic candlelight dinner! The sax player is really good and your piano playing is very emotive. The sound is great, too. Did you give the sax player the chord charts or did he just play by ear?
Fiz lives in Rome, while I'm in Florida. He plays by ear, but what an ear! You should hear some of the jazz he produces. Very talented guy on those wind instruments.

I really like the dreamy quality to this song Clivey, and the wind instruments give it a nice organic feel.
