Nick Drake Documentary "A Skin Too Few"

Stumbled on to this on Youtube, extremely well done and a compelling view. Actually never been a big fan of Nick's but he was an extraordinary guitarist. After watching I promptly ordered an anthology of his stuff on Amazon (cheap, too!).

Saw this film on tv when it was aired the first time. When you're interested: it was released on DVD as part of the re-release of Fruit Tree in 2007.

Although not as tender as this documentary, the DVD "Nick Drake - Under Review" (2007) is also well worth searching for.

The Endless Coloured Ways: The Songs Of Nick Drake is a recently released double-CD or -LP containing 24 covers of songs, originally written and sung by Nick Drake.

Pretty impressive list of musicians! Favorites are the renditions of David Gray, John Parish & Aldous Harding, Craig Armstrong, Famous Blue Cable feat. Feist (with Blake Mills, Matt Chamerlain and Tony Berg) and John Grant.

There's also a new biography on Nick Drake: Nick Drake: The Life by Ricard Morton Jack.

Here's John Grant doing his take on Day Is Done:
