I rembember a few months ago there was a thread on which the discussion derailed from the main topic to a discussion about many british bands in the early 90s that explored a bit around psychdelic, electronica and progressive rock. Some band names mentioned were Ozric Tentacles, early Porcupine Tree, Richard Barbieri, The Orb, etc. Can you recommend some more bands in that syle? (I remember Kavus and Scrotum made some recommendations that sounded cool to explore)

BLIM were a band hailed from Birmingham. They released two cassettes Zero (1992) and No Frills (1993) before disbanded in 1994. In 2013, a double-CD "Zero/No Frills" with remastered original albums was released on their own.

AMORPHOUS ANDROGYNOUS is a moniker of Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans - best known as The Future Sound of London - that released Tales of Ephidrina CD in 1993, where they successfully merged spacey electronic music with psychedelic and progressive rock idioms.
Although the heavy-psych quartette THE HEADS played a lot of gigs in Bristol's clubs in the first-half of the '90s, sadly they didn't released a full-length album before 1996 when their debut CD Relaxin' With... was released on Headhunter Records.

Moonflowers were an excellent band but somewhat lost in the haze, because they were erroneously mixed with the alt/indie crowd from the press of the era.
Other Way Out got a massive amount of run on the underground music networks at the time.
It's apparently one of Thurston Moore's fave British rock albums from that time.

KREL were a space-rock band formed in 1989. They played gigs in Greater Manchester area in favour to promote their self-released debut cassette Who's Next On This (1991), including the gigs with Ozric Tentacles. In 1992, KREL released their second cassette entitled Dark Star and played with Hawkwind at their UK tour.
KREL's Earth Zero (1993) cassette caused interest of an audience not only in Britain but also in Europe. In 1995, KREL released beautiful About Time (to Emit) cassette that became the basis of their CD debut. About Time (to Emit) has been reworked and released as CD "As Astra" in 1996 on Dead Earnest label.
I remember KREL. One of the most interesting spacerock bands of the 90s.

RADIO MASSACRE INTERNATIONAL (RMI) is a trio formed in 1993 and have been heavily inspired by the seventies' genres like "Berlin School", "krautrock" and space-rock. Thus, RMI featuring mostly synths, but also guitar, bass, drums and Mellotron. They were playing plenty of concerts in England in the first half of the '90s.

For this particular thread, RMI's the most important album is their amazing, spacey & haunting, 'tron-stuffed debut Frozen North, released as a double-CD on Centaur Discs in 1995.
Then you probably remember also SPACEHEAD 'cause they were a band that was leaded by one of Krel's founder-members, Mr. Dibs. They released a very nice space-rock CD "... Of Stars And Time" on the Emergency Broadcast System label (1996).
Yes I have this CD but I found it and still consider as an average attempt at a heavier/rawer version of Hawkwind. The "In Space We Trust" album was an improvement i.m.o. since it sounds more instrumentally expansive than its predecessor; the addition of violin worked in favor of their sound.
Speaking about electronic stuff, Dibs companion in "...Of Stars And Time", Phil Howard (also in Krel if I remember well), went on to form Cellular Structure that privately released a very good album in the turn of the millenium. And since you mentioned RMI and the british version of Berlin's school style, VIETGROVE and NODE are two great recommendations.

Might as well go for those Psi-Fi “lost 70s Krautrock” albums too, since they’re rumored to be actually Sun Dial in disguise.
I don’t believe Tribe of Cro have been mentioned, but we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel by now. I remember them being pretty terrible. Better off going for Tangle Edge. They’re not British, but they’re what you’re looking for otherwise.

South London's FULL MOON were a heavy-psych five-piece outfit formed in 1985. Before it was disbanded in 1993, FULL MOON released three albums: Full Moon (LP, 1989) on Norwegian label Voices Of Wonder Records, A Live Encounter (LP, 1990) on their own label simply called Moon, and Euphoria (LP / CD, 1992) on former Hawkwind & Amon Düül bassist Dave Anderson's label Demi Monde.

Well, the vinyl was better than the CDs. Not the most original band but they sounded OK to my ears back at the time. Need to revisit to see if they stood the test of time.
Ship of Fools - Close Your Eyes (Forget the World) and Out There Somewhere are pretty good
Mandragora has a few albums, but the Live Temple Ball is my favorite
Other bands put out cassettes and some released albums on the Delerium label, and some were Ozric offshoots.
Looking at Spacefreak's list, Optic Eye were more in the trance/electronica genre. There's lots of bands in that genre as well to recommend.
Worthy of honorable mention in this thread are THE CIRCLES due to their only one, but lovely the 60s-like psychedelic rock single Tomorrow released in 1991 on Go~Go – Go~Go1 label.
