Whaaa?? Wow. A remastering of Paddy’s solo LP! This uncategorizable piece (the lengthy title track) is an absolute corker, very emotional, original, nuanced. If you haven’t heard it you should. This is music to die to. Poignantly.

Ops... missed UMPFEL... thanks for the wakeup call!
Having done 3 passes, I have to say - I'm hesitant. Not as good as Cactus.

Given that only 1/3 of the year has gone by, some of these lists are incredibly long (mnprogger and star...)

Are you guys listing everything you've heard or selecting on the best (top) for this year?

I mean those two lists are impressive in the openness and variety of the choices, but we're interested in the "best" or "top". Listing he better "also-rans" can be interesting, but maybe not the bottom half (not saying you were listing them, though)
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

    Favorites so far:

Pyramidal- Pyramidal- proggy psych with a little space elements

Dreamtime- Tidal Mind- more proggy psych with space elements, a little krautrock too

Bombay Groovy- Odyssey- An anthology of the band's earlier EPs plus some 2019 material. Sitar, Hammond organ, bass , drums. It's 1970!

Yaatra- Arkham- heavy psych with some proggy moments

Djam Karet- A Sky Full Of Stars... already described by others.

This is the tip of the iceberg and a few I can remember off the top of my head while sitting at work. I try to post a new release every Saturday on my Facebook page.

I had these two on my list as well and was surprised no one mentioned them before you did. The Consider the Source is absolutely fantastic.

    Other stuff I liked:

    Bill Laurance - "Cables"
    Electric Asturias - "Trinity"
    Mad Fellaz - "III"
Lucy in Blue - "In Flight"

well it's not 1/3 of the year for me and my blog anyway as I posted

My Midseason (11/1/18-4/30/19) and Anticipation for the rest of the year

and while the whole list I posted aren't "the best" I actually ranked them as I normally do.

Some of the titles at the bottom could go up with more time, but I often include them all because I find others will be curious or notice names that they may enjoy more than I did. I mean they are more or less all the albums I checked out (I do sample parts of other albums sometimes, that I hear enough not to bother with the whole album), and by ranking them, it does show what albums I like more than others thus including and highlighting what I enjoy most or think are "the best."

It releases the 24th, not the 10th. I was confused with another band's release.
