ProgQuebec reissues... what should be the next ones ?

Jacques Blais' 'Themes'? Wow I haven't heard of this. I missed all the great music from Quebec back in the day, would have been huge in my life had I known, but now am getting what I can. I'll have to seek out Themes.

For 2013, we can certainly reissue Michel Madore's Komuso a Cordes if people want. Also, in the pipeline for late 2013, is a new studio album by Contraction and a new album by Charles Kaszynski. We need to encourage these musicians who still have lots of creativity left. Just listen to Jerome Langlois' latest effort "LUNA SUITE" (now available on our website). It's a stunning sequel to "MOLIGNAK". And don't forget to see Jerome in concert this Saturday Nov 24 at the Gesu with his daughter Romie.

That sounds like a wonderful programme, and can't wait for Madore and Langlois...

I'm a little more tentative on Kaszynski (didn't really appreciate his two albums, yes even the 70's one)...

What to expect from Contraction, though??

Here's my immediate reissue wish list (in no particular order), providing I can conclude never-ending negotiations with major labels for the rights:

Serge Locat - Transfer (with live bonus tracks)
Octobre - Live Chants dans la Nuit (and some of Octobre's other albums that did not get full reissues)
Neil Chotem - Live au El Casino (with members of Harmonium)
Eclipse (1st album)
Opus 5 - Serieux ou Pas (reissued once for the Japanese market only)

Of course I love Connivence, Syncope, Nebu, Wallack, Leveille's "Black Sun" (with members of Maneige), etc.. and the list goes on (but never heard of Soular System).

All of the above of course... though I don't know what to expect from Locat's album (neever even saw it)

We also have an amazing live concert by Maneige (circa 1978 at the Outremont) that we can release.
Regarding Aquarelle, what happened was that Belle Antique (Japan) offered him more upfront money than we did, but did a poor vinyl transfer.

Yes,for the Maneige live album (was only partially satisfied with the official Live that was reissued as bonus tracks on NVNN & LS-SS). But try Montreal 6AM, please... it's still quite worthy

Locat's solo (instrumental) lp is one of the top 5 Kebek progs. He does a Wakiepoo and mixes in Quebecois folk music.
If you do not have this lp in your collectro a trial is to be visited upon you.
Have no doubt that God observes your every action and has taken note of your prog lapsery.
