Nice. Glad these are being reissued. Fingers crossed for the Warchild set.

I don't need the Aqualung one, but...this 3fer is tempting. It does say preorder though, so are these not out yet?
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

I think they just haven't updated the button to say 'Order'. They started shipping them out last week and some people have been posting that they received theirs.

Ok, cool. That's what it seemed to be. I'll have to see the cost but i'll definitely be getting the Minstrel and Songs ones in the near future if nothing else.

My SFTW arrived today from an ebay purchase. Still 2 Amazon sets hanging out, but I'm surprised ebay got here quicker. Not that it matters in the least.

On Amazon Canada they seem to be available so far only from 3rd party/independent sellers.

I had only listened to the first disk once, so I just threw on the "Associated Tracks." Old Aces... IS a good song, and almost nine minutes, so definitely worth the price of admission! Pretty Christmassy too!

    Pretty cool! Who's playing bass?

Edit: Answered my own question. It's Dave Pegg. He really sounds good here!

Yeah, no question. I can even hear the bass parts clearly on my crummy laptop speakers. That's part of why I noticed.

What's also remarkable is the clarity of the bass. In arenas, the bass is usually really boomy, and older recording equipment often had a hard time capturing the lower frequencies. This is crystal clear. Very interesting. I wonder if this is because they're behind the stage and the recording is picking up the monitor mix and isn't getting overpowered by the mains?

Pegg's first show with Tull. The recording may not have been from behind the stage, the YouTube uploader synched a video and recording from different sources.

    OK, that makes sense.
