It's hard to believe this show has lasted for 20 seasons. S20 begins tomorrow, June 27th.

So, we're finished the first week and we've had our first eviction...and thoughts yet?
This is an interesting interview with Julie Chan about the show and week one.

I’m ok with it thus far. I’m glad no one went home night #1. I did like Steve, however. Swaggy is annoying and it was great to see his and Bayleigh’s faces in shock when Steve was evicted.
Sam vs. the Robot: glad they’re incorporating new ideas. It was a good social challenge adding that robot. I think it would have been better used a couple weeks into the season instead of week one.
For The controversy side of things, JC was in hot water and one of the gals also. Video and reports on TMZ and some of it made national news outlets.
Ehh...quoting a song with a naughty word in it is not the same thing as yelling it at someone in an argument or talking about them despairingly.

You know, I really miss the old key wheel, where each houseguest pulled a key and said "so-and-so, you are safe". If the keys were strategically placed, it could be really fun to watch. This two key process is boring.
Loved seeing Swaggy get the boot! One of the most delusional players ever.

Agreed. I do understand them cutting it for time reasons. It was good drama, at times. I'd rather have it back and get rid of the 55 seconds of footage (shown immediately prior to nominations) with the HoH & possible nominees doing voiceovers about the impending noms.

I really liked Sam until this week. I think she blew it.
1. The whole, "I know what I'm doing so there will be no one-on-one meetings" was stupid. Even if you know who you're nominating. Being HOH is a great time to get information from people and make deals with people. A good opportunity wasted IMO.
2. Not giving people the chance to talk to her and plead their case is not a good social game and puts a big target on her.
3. Being old fashioned is fine. But judging people and dictating how they should behave is not.
4. Punishing Haleigh and Kaitlyn for flirting with the men and then cuddling up with Faysal on the couch was hypocritical.
I wanted to see her go far, but now I hope she gets voted out soon.
^ Point 4 made me laugh when I saw it yesterday. Perhaps it's all a jealousy thing disguised as old fashionedness.
Personally, I think the biggest mistake she made was telling them (and everyone) that the person voted out gets a chance to come back in.
Actualy, haven written that, her biggest mistake was winning HOH this week when she knew someone would get a chance to come back.

I wonder if she had to do that.
That's a good point and I totally agree. She could have been a hero, now no matter who comes back in, they're gunning for her. More bad game play.Actualy, haven written that, her biggest mistake was winning HOH this week when she knew someone would get a chance to come back.
Hmm...interesting. I hadn't considered that. I would hope not...at least in the past I thought BB was pretty good with letting secret powers stay secret (but it's hard for me to remember more than like 2 seasons ago).
And the challenge didn't seem that difficult. But perhaps I had the advantage of it not meaning anything to me.

Never have I flipped on a house guest so fast. What a total idiot. Worst game play ever. It would have been way more interesting had she used it on Winston.
And I realize there must have been extreme pressure to get back in the game, but that puzzle was designed (produced) to MAKE it happen. Once she started taking it apart, I rolled my eyes at how completely basic it was. When she couldn't make it happen, I imagined every producer on that show rolling their eyes too. They just watched a twist slip through their fingers.

OMG! Seriously. After listening to her whine to Fessy and try to make him feel guilty for almost the whole show I decided that maybe Sam was onto something after all.
I agree with Paulie that the puzzle was too easy and was designed to let the houseguest back in the house, but I'm glad Kaitlyn is gone. I guess her spirits just weren't properly aligned. I'm surprised that she didn't forsee her eviction and puzzle failure.
Wingnut.
Watched tonight’s eviction episode.
Once I gather my thoughts I’ll have more to say.
^ It was a pretty good one. She went off the rails pretty quick it seems.
Shame as she was the best eye candy in the game to me.
