Later pressings had all kinds of glitches and splices (as did early CD editions), including losing the final verse of "Wind-Up."
Yea, chopping off the end of Wind-Up was un-remissible.

This is comp is using the SW remixes, yeah? In that capacity its different than anything that came before, no?
If it isn't Krautrock, it's krap.

Tull through the 70's was sort of a soundtrack for me. They were for me the most consistent band with new releases every year and each one a unique entity in themselves. So what I did was made a compilation of one song that always stood out from each album onto a cdr.

    1. My Sunday Feeling
    2. We Used to Know
    3. With You There To Help Me
    4. Cross-Eyed Mary
    5. Thick as a Brick edit from side one
    6. Life Is A Long Song
    7. A Passion Play edit from side one
    8. The Third Hoorah
    9. Cold Wind to Valhalla
    10. Quizz Kid
    11. Hunting Girl
    12. Heavy Horses
    13. Orion

Came out to be about 72 minutes works great when I'm in the mood for a nostalgic walk down Jethro Tull lane in about an hour of time.

Interesting concept. I could never limit myself to one song an album, but as I think about it, I suppose I'd choose from the first 13 (adding in Living in the Past), and keeping in a recording time format:

    1) Some Day the Sun Won't Shine for You
    2) Nothing is Easy
    3) A Time for Everything?
    4) Up to Me
    5) Really Don't Mind / See There a Son Is Born
    6) Sweet Dream
    7) The Foot of Our Stairs
    8) Sealion
    9) Cold Wind to Valhalla
    10) Salamander
    11) Hunting Girl
    12) Acres Wild
    13) Dun Ringill

Yea it’s not easy limiting it to just one song for sure but I was trying to be as concise as possible for one disc. That’s a nice list also. I love dun ringill.

I don't think I can do a single disc. I did make a Tull acoustic and a Tull Electric discs for the car but even those seemed incomplete.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

I wonder how similar your acoustic disc was to The Best Of Acoustic...

Excepting Critique Oblique, they are not Steve Wilson remixes.

I made an acoustic Tull disc years before Ian made his, and I actually prefer mine

I should try my hand at it! Mine would definitely include the Jack-A-Lynn demo.

I finally bought my copy. Disc 3 is for me THE best of the 50th Edition.

I'm more an electronic era Tull fan. Disc 3 includes songs from A (that was meant A for Anderson solo album but ended up as a Tull release), Broadsword & The Beast, and Under Wraps, all excellent albums IMHO.
If it would be really cool but does not apply, I would have included a couple from Walk Into Light that is a highlight in Ian's recording career.

I've seen TULL LIVe about 10-11 times and my very first was Passion Play in 1973 which was the biggest spectacle (including Hare) and the latest was Ian Anderson plays "Jethro Tull a Rock Opera" that was a let down.
But it's nice to celebrate 50 years of Tull in great fashion and with deserved pomp.
