My God, Brock Osweiler is horrible. If he's our backup then God help us.
Watched a bit of the Giants-browns game yesterday. Mayfield looked pretty good out there. Granted he was not facing starters, but he did make a few NFL throws. Have the Browns found a QB? Isn't that the Seventh Sign?

The Steelers apparently used a deflated football last night.
Full disclosure: for those who aren't familiar, Howard Eskin is a toolbag.
Music isn't about chops, or even about talent - it's about sound and the way that sound communicates to people. Mike Keneally
His footwork was a little jumpy, but he had a good command of the offense, and seemed confident and poised, for the most part. Some of the young receivers look like playmakers too. It's only preseason, and we went 4-0 before going 0-16 last year, but the vibe is different, and has a semblance of a "turning the corner" look, from where I sit. Time will tell.
Bah! Who cares about him! How 'bout that first carry by Barkley?!
Mayfield did look real poised. I was very impressed. Jarvis Landry is awesome.

Barkley needs to understand that in the pros you rarely succeed bouncing it to the outside. Guys will run you down. He'll do fine if the G-Men can have any sort of balanced attack. If it falls squarely on his shoulders, it's gonna another long season in NYC.

Yeah, that first run was very nice, but if you noticed, one of the Browns' DBs took a bad angle and then couldn't run him down when he tried to recover.
I still think Barkley will best be used in the short passing game, and I don't think I saw any of that last night.
I guess I missed his "first" run. I saw him get the ball, try to bounce it outside, and get tackled for a 2-yard loss. My guess is he broke one before that? I wasn't really paying attention. It was a pre-season game.
EDIT: Just saw the run. My point is still valid in that he cut it back to the inside before taking off. The run I saw he bounced it to the outside and got stopped dead in his tracks.

I just like to see a RB with some lateral moves for a change. Just havin' some fun...not claiming he's the Big Blue savior Barkley was only in the game for a few snaps I'm pretty sure. Hoping the offensive line will be at least serviceable for his and Eli's sake this season <fingers crossed>

This is Adam Gase's last year in Miami. And hopefully Ryan Tannihill's last year too. The experiment failed. Where we go from here, who knows?
