Not my favorite album from the original band, but a great one for sure!

Killer is a Killer, one of the greatest albums of all time imo. Despite huge commercial success, I don't think this guy has received the artistic credit he deserves. To me he belongs right next to rock'n'roll deities like David Bowie or Lou Reed, but for some reason he is stuck with the label of heavy metal eccentric, and is embraced by classic-rock and metalhead audiences mostly (well, at least in my country, Greece, that is.)

For me, Killer and Love it to Death are Alice Cooper's best albums. I like the next few they did as well, but sometimes I think Bob Ezrin's production got in the way of some of the material.

    Great , great album!

Clever production and Alice's voice was soooo righteous back in the day!

Love it to Death, Killer, School's Out and Billion Dollar Babies are four of the finest hard rock albums ever recorded imo.

You won't find much bigger Alice fan on this forum than me. Although I don't like everything Alice Cooper Band / Alice Cooper have done (the hair metal period was mostly pretty bad) I think they / he have had moments of brilliance over the years, and he is still putting out good music today.

    Yep.

For me, Killer has never been up there with Love It to Death and School's Out as a whole album, but it does contain my no-question, all-time favorite Coop song, "Halo of Flies."

Would be great if the master reels still exist & did an SACD/Multichannel release. The original mix and production is faultless though!
A classic rock album in the perfect sense . Wouldn't change a single note!

It is a truly beautiful album and maybe the best sounding 8-track I owned in 1972.

Mine too! The band was still fierce and very hungry. Hollywood hasn't caught up with Vince yet...
