^Have you seen the Royal Albert Hall one from 2006? He pulled out all the stops for those shows, even having David Bowie as a guest vocalist. Gdansk is nice and probably more typical of the tour but doesn't have as many surprises in the set.

I have all the PF and Gilmour live concert videos. They are all great imo.
I'll be forever kicking myself I didn't catch the On an Island tour with Wright and the full Echoes being played. But Gdansk is a great remembrance, RAH is a bit grainier video wise, but yeah, nice setlist and I get a kick of seeing David Crosby from side stage watching them play the instrumental parts of Echoes in awed amazement.
With our iconic music idols from the 60s and 70s dropping like flies, I am forever grateful for anything Gilmour puts out. He is Roman god-like to me.

Apparently Manzanera had previous engagements. From what I know, Pompeii was touch and go as far as even happening, so Im not surprised Manzanera had other things going on.
And as far was his first two albums, Comfortably Numb is the only one from his earlier work he has anything to do with anymore, he claims he doesn't relate to them anymore...and thats really too bad. Theyre both so much better than the last two.
Well, maybe tangentially as the instrumental which formed the basis of that song was an unfinished outtake from his first solo album, but I agree the above doesn't make much sense.
As for Manzanera, there was a whole tour in the Summer of 2016 - I actually saw gigs a few days before and a few days after Pompeii. It wasn't just a one-off show, which probably accounts for why much of the 2015 band (Carin & McAlea as well) couldn't do that leg.

yeah, I saw 2 shows on the 2016 tour in Chicago earlier that year in April. Manzanera was with the band then. That is why I was asking if he just couldn't make the Pompeii shows for some reason or he did not play the entire European tour that summer. So he must have not done the whole European tour.

I was thinking about that when I posted. I could have sworn Carin was there. And I don't remember Phillinganes being there. I was seated fairly close but more on the left center aisle almost even with Manzanera, and I admittedly did not pay too much attention to the keys, watching Gilmour etc. I will have to see if I can tell from a few of the pics I took.
Add--from looking at my pics, no doubt Manzanera was playing guitar to David's right, and it's got to be Carin playing keys on David's left, as I recognize him from the previous concert vids etc, tall, dark hair, and i remember recognizing him at the show, and remember him doing some of the vocals. Definitely not Phillinganes. Can't see the keyboardist behind Manzanera.
