FRANCK POURCEL- DOUBLE 0 SEVEN- A WINTERS TALE
Don't know about 'prog' but there's a lot of music from the late 1960s/early 1970s that sounds similar, especially film/TV show music. You should check out the Ennio Morricone thread on PE.
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off
This is fairly typical 60s/early 70s 'easy listening'...an arrangement of a John Barry composition '007' (heard in almost all the old Bond films in an uptempo arrangement).
Thanks for the responses. I haven't been able to find another version of this same song. Let me know if you find a link.
try some Deodato
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
Luckily there not a lot of bands making music like this, maybe try the Elevator Music Genre...
I thought it kinda cool. I don't know somewhere between Morricone and ... ? Enoch Light? (not sure I've actually heard Enoch Light though, and then just a sprinkling of High Llamas, some of the instrumental things they've done.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
