I'm going to convince my wife that I need to upgrade to two festivals a year. This and CTTE.

I got my tickets. Looking forward to District 97 (of course), Bruce Soord, Karmakanic, and newly acquainted Squids himself.

I've managed to convince mine that 3 are the absolute minimum. Big Ears, ProgDay & RIO.

Oh, you people and your convincing. I know not of this world. I let my girlfriend know what festival(s) I wish to attend and ask if she can make it (she digs prog). If not, I attend alone, like last year's Progtoberfest. Apparently, I am lucky, and this is not the norm, lol.

Well a wife and two kids changes things a bit, at least for me.

    Hi guys
New to Progtoberfest and have my ticket, Ibought a seated ticket, and have a couple of questions.

    1. Are the two stages housed in the same venue?
    2. Is it easy going from one stage to the other?
    3. Is there an organized schedule so that you don't miss a certain band?

I'm sure that I'll have more questions later :-)

    Thanks in advance
    Ed

Yes to all 3, Ed, as long as you can climb stairs (Kay couldn't).

Not all the seats are on the upper level. Just the red chairs and side stage.

Don't you have to climb stairs to get from the "music joint" to the "rock club"?

Not that I remember. There is an outdoor patio up the stairs.

No they are right next to each other. The only time you have to climb stairs is if you want to go up to the rooftop bar / deck or the 2nd floor record store.

Rich, I decided to do all 3 days this year. Just too many great artists to pass up.

OK. Look's like I'll be able to go to this... What are the most convenient decent hotels nearby?

South Loop Hotel has a shuttle to and from Reggies. It is also an easy 10 minute walk from the venue too.

I'm assuming that means you have a merch table, in which case I'll be looking for you.

Any other PE'ers going to be there? Would be nice to meet up.

I'll be there, I'll be there, I will be there. My plan is to get out to Motown to see Discipline and Necromonkey on Thur night 10/19, then to Chi-town for my first Progtoberfest.
