Today I experienced my first problems with Cubase 13. I still like Ionica Sketch, but I don't like it that today Cubase 13 gave several problems, like suddenly shutting down, giving an error message and not functioning when I wanted to scroll in the Score Editor and to paste notes together.
One other weird problem is that it keeps looking for Novation, a soft-synth I once downloaded, but because it didn't work, removed it. Today I removed the last connected files, but Cubase keeps looking for it.

Good call John.
I've had similar issues, and your suggestion works for me.
Renate, click on the Devices Box at the top of your project.
You will see a list of instruments, plug ins, etc. Scroll down until you see Novation and check if it's got an x in the box before it's name in the list. If so, uncheck the box and click on the update plug in information and then close Cubase and then restart.
It shouldn't scan for Novation when starting up.

I'm thinking about adding a hardware sequencer to my keyboard setup, any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Something relatively simple and budget friendly, plus I've never used one before.
Thinking of mainly using it with my Voyager and Korg Arp Odyssey.
I've done a little research and so far it's been on the Arturia Beatstep, Beatstep Pro, and the Korg SQ1.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed this one for free.

I picked up Moog Mariana yesterday. Sounds lovely with sonics that stray into the treble clef for a bass synth. The virtual CV integration with the MoogerFoogers is top-shelf as well. Going to have to upgrade to an iPad Pro for full leveraging. These apps are memory hogs for good reason. Geert and his team still do top work, no matter the new owner of Moog Music!

I like the SQ1…..small, inexpensive, and fun! Has CV and MIDI out, plus USB. I don’t use it as much as I should (picked it up to work with my MS-20 reissue), but you can have some good fun with it.
Guess it really comes down to how you wanna use it….curious to know what you end up with!
whoa....the SQ-64 is a monster and waaaaay out of my wheelhouse. lol
Thanks for the help.
Thanks Pat...I like the SQ1, it's within my budget and I want to keep things simple, especially since I don't know if sequencing will work for me. But fun is the word for me, because that's what it would be for.
I think sequencing, much like arpeggiated parts can often serve as inspiration, but arpeggiation can be a bit limiting, where sequencing can be more detailed.
I would like to have patterns playing on a track and then play off of it.
I'm not totally committed to taking the plunge, it's Christmas gift money and if something with blinking lights and shiny keys comes along, I might get distracted. lol
My wife bought me a Fender Champion 20, which is going back in the box until Christmas, but I HAD to check it out to make sure everything works ok...2 hours later, I think it passed my QC. lol
I don't have the patience to do stuff like that using my mouse and computer. But it definitely works for you.
Thanks everyone for the ideas.

So this is a fun little find, two musicians (influencers?) getting their Kling Klang on with a bunch of vintage gear:
If you jump to the actual album page, there's an embedded video of them playing that really drives home the Kraftwerk vibe (plus some fun gear trainspotting)

Those guys are bonkers, but a fun kind of bonkers.
The "Look Mum" made a giant freaking modular synth using a Furby that was like capturing the wails of the damned straight outta Hades
Hainbach has made a slew of awesome VST plugins based on some of his weirder/wilder gear.

€ 399 for me. No thanks.
I've been on this thread for a while and I confess....I don't own any synths except for soft synths. I used to have a Korg O1/W and gave it to my niece because she was getting to be pretty amazing on the piano. Anyway, I just bought an Arturia Minifreak (early birthday present) and it should arrive later this week. Psyched to play around with it!
<sig out of order>
