Oh, how mean and wicked and nasty and sinister she behaves towards the Prog! And wrong! It isn't like this at all - and never was! Prog lyric in intellectuality is so ridden with crystal depth and spectral width that when exposed to attemptive ridicule it's ONLY due to extreme inherent complexity!
Let's try them:
Wandering through a forest of a penetrating force,
hairwoods clinge to sausage limb - backtunnel of my horse,
Sherwood binge at threshold hinge, see bosom golden shores,
Riding high soon I will fly,
I'll touch the sky I wonder why,
oh my oh my,
don't say goodbye,
all witches aren't whores!

"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, baby.
To be or not to be? That is the point. - Harry Nilsson.
Those lyrics would certainly fit any number of past and present hard rock or metal bands, but not very many (good) prog bands. Argus by Wishbone Ash, sure, but they're on the outer edge of prog in my book.
Which important prog band would these lyrics fit? Not Yes, Tull, Genesis, GG, VdGG, Crimson, ELP, Floyd, Rush, etc. Perpetuating stupid stereotypes is not at all creative.
"And your little sister's immaculate virginity wings away on the bony shoulders of a young horse named George who stole surreptitiously into her geography revision."
