^ An action playset of the Edgewater Inn complete with roadie and groupie action figures and, of course, a mudshark.

    Pre-order is up:
    https://store.zappa.com/the-mothers/...70-cd-set.html

Unfortunately, no beanie babies, no action figures, no masks, no metman.

(I'll probably grab this set. Very interested in hearing the studio material.)

Well, there is a pin, which is a lot easier to swallow than a Halloween costume or a manhole cover.

(Legal disclaimer: do not swallow the pin.)

Yeah, this seems to be the greatest problem with the recent releases. For whatever reason, they don't offer just the music in one package and keep the masks, board games, life size mudshark reproduction's in an uber deluxe version like other bands do.

Glad to see this one doesn't fall too far in that hole. I'll probably get this (even though I'm a couple of boxsets behind on zappa).
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.

I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.

Amusingly your link abbreviates on screen to end “...70-cd-set.html”, which caused me to boggle a little. That would be giving KC a run for their money!

1970 Mothers is core Zappa for me, so will have to get it.

Now I feel an urge to try to swallow the manhole cover. (never bought the Halloween box)

If you swallow the Hammersmith Odeon balloon it'll just come out in a subsequent poop.

Listening to this one online and it is incredible! The sound quality alone is just stunning, especially for 1970. Some of FZs solos are just rippin', even in the studio, both the tones and overall vibe. Ansley's drums are also so well recorded, and he is a phenomenal player as well. What a great set! Its hard to imagine this stuff just sat in the vault untouched! Wait until you hear "Envelopes" and "Giraffe". Folks that are usually put off by Flo/Eddie era should at least give this a spin, you may surprised at how overlooked this era of FZ is/was.

If this is your fav FZ era, then you are going to flip out when you hear this sucker.

Really loving disc 4 of this set...awesome Pound/King Kong improvs, amazing guitar stuff all the way through, and a killer early Easy Meat. Plus I always loved the documentary style of Playground Psychotics, so those occasional dips into that stuff on this disc is a plus for me. I love that they were too cautious to perform the Anti Smut Loyalty Oath three nights in a row

    Matt.
