    Hmmm... 3-3.

Caps are never going to win the Cup. This was their best chance since actually getting to the finals years ago and they couldn't even make it to the conference finals. Snakebit.

Tampa vs Pitt should be a fun series. Now we wait for the West. I hope its Nash vs St Louis

Pens vs Bolts will be played at light speed! I am not a fan of either one but I think I dislike the Bolts more... Of the teams remaining I think I'd like to see the Blues go all they way. It'll be a small consolation to the city for having lost its NFL franchise...

I agree they are snakebit, but really Pittsburgh is playing in their own league right now. While this may have been the caps best team in 20 years (or whatever), to me they aren't the best in hockey right now.

I cannot recall seeing a home team of a Game 7 get totally destroyed the way the Stars did yesterday.

    GO BLUES!

Yep. That was an ass-kickin! And to think the Rangers passed on Tarasenko to get Dylan McIlrath

Those two very late 1st period goals just kicked the Stars in the 'nads. Then, Elliot withstood a bit of a barrage early in the second and the Blues 4th goal sealed the deal...

Still better than the Sens trading away the Tarasenko pick for David Rundblad because "none of the available prospects were good enough to bother drafting that high".

Tampa in 6 (maybe 7 given the Isles are already up one)
Washington in 7 (no love for either team but Holtby has the edge over Murray at this point)

San Jose in 6 (by Thornton's Beard, could this be the Shark's year?)
St. Louis in 7 (two very dangerous teams, but I think the Blues have a little more balance overall)

3-1 this round, after going 7-1 in the first round. Pretty good for a guy who normally falls asleep at some point during the games. Last night, it was 3-0 SJ and the next thing I knew it was 3am!

    Round 3:

I have to give Pittsburgh the edge over Tampa. If Stamkos was playing it might be a different story, but Matt Murray has played great and the Pens have three lines that can score.
    Prediction: Pittsburgh in 6.

I am really stuck on this round in the west. These two teams are really evenly matched. San Jose won the season series 2-1 so I am going to go with them.
Predication: San Jose in 7 fabulous games.

Weird to see two complete bombs in a row for game sevens. I'll go with Tampa winning as I think their missing pieces will be back during this series. San Jose/St.Louis.....hmmm...should be a crazy good series...hoping Joe's beard will prevail but I have a feeling St.Louis is going to get through.

You play the same teams over and over and you get to hate those guys.

Oh well. As I said earlier upstream, it was already a successful season for the isles.

Lots of good hockey left! :thumbsup

Looks like the Sharks have the blues pretty frustrated right now. They are playing really well right now and their transition from being in trouble in their own end to getting it out and into the Blues end has been pretty spectacular. In the other series, I think Tampa will bounce back and end up winning the east though.

I think the Pens will make short work of the Bolts... But I haven't been following too closely. I'll catch a period here or there and then rely on the sports channel recaps the next morning.

Injuries killed the Bolts this year, it's do-or -die for them tonite. Time for Drouin to step up
Both teams are real fast, it's the new NHL style these days.

Wasn't as close as the score. They looked as pathetic as the Caps did in the final period.
