In my experience of going to metal gigs and festivals over many years and talking to and socializing with loads of metalheads, I've detected that amongst the metal rank and file there seems to be an over representation of ADD, Aspergers, ADHD and Bipolar. So my question is this, is there any mental handicap that is over represented amongst proggers? OCD perhaps?

I often have a mental ha when I think of proggers.
None whatsoever. Proggers are all socially well adapted, gregarious, emotionally well balanced individuals. This site is living proof of that.

Most average [male] proggers seem to get laid less than average normal folks. Seriously and sincerely so. This in turn eventually leads to mental has as well.

Also, female proggers have tended to show very little patience and Tourette's-like outbursts when going to the ladies room at non-prog events. The concept of having to wait in line eludes them.

I originally read the title as "metal handicaps". then I read the first post, and realised that would be quite appropriate for the subject heading.
This discussion reminds me of the old chestnut about boxing and brain damage. Does boxing lead to brain damage, or is it the other way round?
