Day dawns dark...it now numbers infinity.
Got tix for Montreal 4/9/16. Great show Tuesday night in Albany.
I can definitely still do some Hacketting. I will be seeing 6 of his shows this month. Then I will need a break!
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com
I got my tickets for Seattle yesterday.
I am, although I'm surprisingly ambivalent about it. Zombi is also playing tonight in Baltimore and I've been seriously torn about forfeiting the $$ for the Hackett tix in favor of a younger/more interesting band (IMHO).
Hopefully we'll cross paths again soon though Chris! Still sorry that Kraftwerk didn't work out.

Weird ... last time he played in L.A. in 2013, was also on April 1. No kidding!
I saw Steve Hackett list night in D.C. at the Lincoln Theater. What a fantastic show. The first half was music from Steve's solo albums. The second half of the show was Genesis music.
I knew what to expect from the Genesis set, but I was pleasantly surprised with the solo set. I really enjoyed the songs from his new release like Wolflight and Love Song to a Vampire, and the older songs simply came to live with an amazing band.
.
The last pleasant surprise was the bass player / 2nd guitarist. It took me a few minutes to recognize it was Roine Stolt. He mostly stuck with the bass, but he did play guitar on a few Hackett solo tunes and the double neck 12-string and bass on several of the Genesis songs. If that guitar thing with the Flower Kings doesn't work out, he can definitely fall back on his bass playing.
I was a little hesitant to go see this show because I wasn't overly excited with the Hackett solo tunes. The strength of the Wolflight songs ultimately convinced me to go. I am very happy I went.
Seeing Steve and Roine trading guitar solos on After the Ordeal really warmed my proggy heart. 3rd time I've seen him in 3 years but the set list was totally different and his solo material is back, finally! Hadn't heard the new album before the show but based on the strength of the songs played live I will be getting it. $30 for the vinyl at the merchandise table, more than the CD!
Isn't vinyl typically more expensive than a CD?
Saw him last night in Wilkes-Barre. Great show but sparse crowd! I would say less than half full on the floor and the balcony was closed. Steve made some moving comments about the attacks in France and how emotional it was to be playing music when such things seem to be under siege around the world.
I too was at the Wilkes Barre show last evening. My first Hackett show this tour. I will say it was the best Steve Hackett show that I have ever seen. Absolutely love the set list. The more from Voyage of The Acolyte, the better! And to see Steve Hackett and Roine Stolt on the same stage at the same time, priceless. Ok, off the Newton, NJ to catch the next show.
Seeing Roine as just a sideman was interesting, and he did a great job. He looked like a cross between Willy Wonka and Geddy Lee.
allright san francisco! glad to see him back before too long since the last time!
So it looks like Stolt is in, Beggs is out.
I saw the Lynn Ma. Show last night. I'll echo what other have said. It was a fabulous show. The solo set was unbelievable and then he followed it up with an equally incredible Genesis set. Having Roine in the band has certainly added an exciting element. This is just a phenomenal band line up, anyone going to see this is in for a really great evening.
Lynn is where we saw last year's show. We're already looking forward to the Montreal show in April at the beautiful Place Des Arts, where we saw Steve in '13 iirc, having thoroughly enjoyed the band in Albany last week. Having Roine there is icing on an already wonderful cake.
Does anyone know if this tour has been filmed yet?
Officially? Who knows, but there was no shortage of middle-aged iPhone zombies holding their phones up (vertically) at last night's show.
